Jason’s practice is focused on assisting clients plan for and deal with transitions. For some clients, that means forming a business entity, buying or selling a business, or responding to a business transaction that did not go as planned. For other clients, it may mean estate planning or helping a family who has a loved one entering a long term care facility.
Jason enjoys helping clients plan for the future and protect the things they have spent their life working for.
Jason’s prior experience ranges from working on injury claims for a leading national insurance company, advising clients on complex New Market Tax Credit transactions, and helping a group of landowners defend their property from an attempted illegal eminent domain taking.
Prior to his legal career, Jason spent time working on economic and community development with a South Dakota Indian tribe and helped administer a statewide small business lending program in the state of Iowa.
Jason graduated with Honors from Drake University Law School where he earned a Certificate in Food and Agricultural Law. His undergrad education was at St. Bonaventure University, where he served as a manager for the men’s basketball team.
Jason lives in West Des Moines. Outside of work, you are likely to find him enjoying time on the golf course with his two teenage children.
